*ScholarOne email service will transition to Amazon's SES services -will go into effect on 1 May 2018

The transition from the current S1M email service to Amazon's SES services will go into effect on 1 May 2018.

Please Take Note of the Following Information that will Ensure you Continue to Receive S1M Emails as Expected:

As mentioned above, Amazon is a large and extremely reputable email service provider. Most email servers are likely already set up to receive email from Amazon; S1M anticipates the impact of moving to their platform will be minimal.However, as with any fundamental email platform change there may be some updates needed to ensure continued deliverability of emails specifically within an organizational or university setting.  In order to ensure there are no disruptions to yours or your customer's email delivery, please do the following:

  • Contact your university or organization to ensure emails from Amazon are currently accepted (whitelisted) for delivery. Additional information about how to do this can be found here.
  • Instruct users that if they find they are having issues with email delivery they may need to contact their technical teams and ask that the Amazon domain be whitelisted. 
  • Forward any reported issues with email delivery to oprs-support@ieee.org and the peer review support team will work directly with the user to ensure the problem is quickly resolved.
